HortPro is locally owned by Jay Follis, who resides in Blount County. We are committed to establishing and maintaining long lasting relationships with our customers by providing a premier horticultural service experience.
HortPro owner Jay Follis has extensive experience in the landscape and turf maintenance industry. After receiving a B.S. in Environmental Horticulture from Florida Southern College, Mr. Follis continued his education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he earned a Master of Science in Entomology and Plant Pathology. Mr. Follis has worked in all phases of the landscape and turf industry, including retail nursery, greenhouse production, research, design, installation, maintenance and golf course maintenance. Current HortPro clients include some of the most prestigious properties in East Tennessee. Additionally, Mr. Follis has established excellent working relationships with several of the region's top Landscape Architects, developers and contractors. This experience combined with a thorough understanding of the value of a competent horticulturist for premier properties elevates HortPro into a category all its own.
